Meet Joy Passley of Beauty Attitude.

For Joy Passley, hairstyling isn’t just a profession. it’s something that began long before beauty school or salon ownership.

Born and raised in Jamaica, Joy’s passion for hair started under her grandmother’s breadfruit tree, where she spent her time braiding the hair of children in her community. What began as a childhood interest eventually grew into a career spanning nearly four decades and a journey from Jamaica to New York and eventually Florida.

Joy got her start in the industry in 1992, working alongside her sister as a shampoo girl, before going on to study at HEART School of Cosmetology in Kingston from 1994 to 1995. She later worked at Totally Male Grooming Salon before opening her own business in Portmore, St. Catherine.

Her career later took her to Brooklyn, New York, where she joined her husband and built a successful salon business on Church Avenue. The couple later relocated to Florida, where Joy continued her education at ASM Beauty Academy in Hollywood. She went on to operate her own salon in Plantation before settling in Sebring, where she now owns and operates Beauty Attitude.

At Beauty Attitude, Joy believes that “haircare is self-care.” She specializes in working with diverse hair types and takes pride in creating a welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable, confident, and cared for.

With a calm presence, years of expertise, and a genuine passion for helping others look and feel their best, Joy continues to make a positive impact on the lives of her clients every day. Her goal is simple: to help every client leave her chair feeling confident, refreshed, and valued.

Roy’s path into transportation started years ago as a bus conductor, where he learned the people skills and customer service skills that still shape how he runs his business today.

Based in St. Elizabeth, Daddy Roy’s Taxi Service covers Junction, Treasure Beach, Santa Cruz, Black River, and the surrounding communities, with airport transfers, hospital visits, weddings, funerals, and other special-occasion transportation all part of the regular work. Roy is known for punctuality and a friendly, attentive approach with every passenger.

His goal is simple: make travel easier and less stressful for the people who rely on him, one ride at a time.
